Beef stew meat is made for cozy, slow-cooked meals—rich in flavor and fork-tender when given time. Perfect for soups, stews, and hearty comfort food, here’s how we prepare it at Fields of Athenry.

Season Generously – Toss with kosher salt, cracked pepper, or your favorite seasoning.
Sear for Flavor – Brown the cubes in a hot Dutch oven or skillet to build deep, rich flavor.
Cook Low & Slow – Simmer gently in broth, wine, or tomatoes at 275–300°F (or low on the stovetop) for 2–3 hours.
Add Veggies at the Right Time – Potatoes, carrots, and onions go in after the meat has started to tenderize so they don’t overcook.
Check for Tenderness – Stew meat is ready when it can be cut easily with a fork.
Finish with Freshness – Add herbs like parsley or thyme at the end for a bright, fresh finish.
